Feeble Beginnings.

Here is a little look back on my journey thus far. Note that it is almost all baking and has zero nutritional value. Boy do I have a lot to learn!

First I get a cup of java! I have to be wide awake to see what the heck I am doing!




I load up my kitchen island with all the goodies I'll need, and then get down to business. I know, it looks like I know what I am doing. =)




My family calls this "Crack". It is amazing and addictive!




We call this "Monkey Chow". I know it's also called "Muddy Buddies", or "Puppy Chow".




I made this patriotic treat for the Mundy Family 4th of July Event. It is simple and spectacular!




Makes me wish it was July!




Spider web cakes for our Halloween get together.




For our Halloween get together I made everyone a "Tombstone".




I brought in these cupcakes for the last night of my Inclusive Teaching class. It was fun!




I'm the kinda girl that loves frosting and the sparkly sugar sprinkles!




I saw a kit to make a tree out of cookies. I happened to have a set of star shaped cutters in various sizes so I decided to give it a try. I think it is pretty cute!




So I got a new kitchen goodie from Williams-Sonoma ( I love that place!) called the "Message in a Cookie" set. You can put words on your cookies. I had to try them out! Here are cookies for the kids with the cookie tree.




My girls are a big part of my inspiration to get more kitchen time in. I want them to grow into fabulous ladies who will be fabulous wives and mothers. I want them to know how to use their own kitchens and enjoy it without the stress that I have while I am learning. Here we are as they learn the fine art of decorating.




Once I get a new toy I tend to go a bit overboard. We were getting together with our BFF for a night of holiday fun. So I had to make cookies to commemorate the evening. Here are cookies for the, "Mogangeldy" Nation. (Mundy's, Vogel's & Angel's)




I decided to put my new WS purchase to good use for the Cooke Family Christmas Party.




I also made these rice krispy treat ornaments with gummy savers and the twizzler peel aparts. They looked so cute!




I love to make fudge at Christmas. This is the Fantasy Fudge. It is the kind that has the marshmallow fluff and chocolate chips.



This is my Grandma's fudge here. It is made with cocoa powder instead of marshmallow and chocolate chips. This fudge reminds me of my childhood Christmas times and my Grandma in her kitchen.



These are Aaron's Christmas nostalgia here. They are cookies made with jello. This year I made him berry.



The girls loved to help decorate the cookies for Santa this year. Once again I got our my Message cookies from WS so everyone would know just whose they were!



Our family tradition is to have a birthday cake for Jesus. This year I attempted to layer it. It was fun trying. I need to work on my cake skills.

Ready, Set, GOOOO!!!

Ok. So here is where I am going to start a new adventure! And I don't even have to get out of my pj's to embark on it!

I am going to learn how to use this dang kitchen of mine if it's the last thing I do! I am so excited that this weekend I am going to be getting together with an amazing group of ladies and we are going to be cooking ahead of time and bringing our goodies to share, as well as swap recipes for what we've made. We are hoping to do this monthly, which will help keep me inspired.

I asked Santa for a new recipe box and I was thrilled when I got the cutest one ever! We all know that a good looking cute kitchen is the first place to start. So I am hoping to post more soon about my first real attempt at making some good home cookin!

I may even throw in some of my earlier attempts at some stuff.
